I only uses fabric softener to wash my clothes?

well i got up this morning and was going to wash a load of clothes and my roommates used all my detergent..yeah i know messed up so....i just put fabric softener in? what will it do? clean and make them smell nice as well? I only uses fabric softener to wash my clothes?

No, it won't clean them. It doesn't have the detergents necessary to truly clean clothes. The water will clean them a bit, but if the clothes were sweaty or really dirty, they won't be clean. I'd just put them straight back in the washing machine, along with detergent this time (go out and buy some). Don't dry them, though, since any stains that may be on your clothes will be set once you dry them.

no they will most likely smell great but not washed. when that happens you can use dish washing liquid just a little bit to wash clothes. Your clothes will most likely be super soft and limp and might have a grimy feel to them.

You need a detergent to assist in removing dirt, odors and stains. If your clothes are really filthy, fabric softener alone will not do the job.
well thats kinda ehh. i will just make your clothes softer i mean atleast put some diswashing soap in there or something so they will get clean or you could run down to the store and get some more detrgent.
It won't clean your clothes as well, but no harm done. Just don't make a habit of it or it will start to ';soften'; your items a little too much and ruin them.
no it well not clean them at all epically noticeable if there is dirt on it save the water and just wait till you have more laundry detergent.

i don't think they will be much cleaner. the water and agitation does help to get rid of yuck. i wouldn't count on it fi you are extra funky...
It won't get them too clean but what I do when I run out is use some dish soap. You only need a little though. Just like one good squeeze.
You will have nice soft, good smelling underwear with turd stains in them.
