I am allergic to most chemicals and my clothes shrink in my uncontrollable dryer. Is there anything natural I can put in the wash to soften my clothes because when I hang them to dry they get they stiff and I have a weird skin arthritis condition called Psoriatic Arthritis and most chemicals really do damage to my flesh. So anything natural I can add to the wash or rinse cycle would be great! Thanks.Does anyone know of a way to soften clothes in the wash without using fabric softener?
You can throw a tennis ball in the dryer - that really does work to soften the clothes obviously without any scent. Seventh Generation is a good company to look to for completely scent free fabric softener - or try your local Health/Natural Food Center....Does anyone know of a way to soften clothes in the wash without using fabric softener?
use some vinegar and to make it smell nice, add a few drop of lavendar.
vinegar----think that came from Heloise
Add a cup or two of baking soda to the wash water. It helps soften hard water.
Add a cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle. It helps break down the soap so it rinses out better.
vinegar or baking soda
