How do I wash a fabric watch strap that's attached to my watch?

Before we get into this, let me just say up front that I fully expect a lot squeamish, ';Ewww, gross'; responses. I understand that some of you will be unable to resist. I understand and I FORGIVE YOU.

Moving on.

I've never been a watch person, but recently I saw a watch that I liked and I bought it. I don't like the chain or leather straps. This was one has a fabric strap, and I really like it. Very comfortable to wear.

That was 2 months ago.

Anyhow, you should know that I sweat.

A lot. (Yes, I know, eww, gross)

And I do a lot of walking. 1 hour plus each day.

It would appear that my fabric watch strap has absorbed some of my sweat and has, I've just noticed, become a bit... err... whiffy. (Yes, I know, eww, gross).

So... What do I do?

How on earth do I wash a fabric watch strap which is attached to my watch? How do I wash a fabric watch strap that's attached to my watch?
The starp has two metal pins that attach the strap to the watch..they are spring loaded..take a small screw driver ..where the pins go thru the strap then into the watch..simply put the screwdriver up next to the watch itself by the strap..and pull in towards the strap and it should pop out..similar to a shower bar that is spring loaded in a bathroom..pull inwards on it..How do I wash a fabric watch strap that's attached to my watch?
Buy a spray can of fabric cleaner. They have the foam kind in the can. Cover the watch face with plastic or wrap wax paper or foil to cover the entire face and back of watch then spray foam cleaner on both straps wipe with a clean cloth or brush follow directions on can. it will smell clean and look clean. look in carpet cleaning section for foam cleaners and they should have fabric cleaner for floor rugs and furniture. a can will go a long way.
it wont be a bad idea to soak each strap in hot water mixed with some sort of detergent, just hang your watch from a bowl of water so the watch itself isnt touching the water, after a few hours take the bowl of water away and allow it to dry before doing the same on the other side. perhaps it is easier to think of your own ideas when it comes to problems with no general answer, be creative.
