How much does each type of fabric shrink after you put it in the wash?

For example, how about jeans made of 99% cotton and 1% spandex? This always bothers me when I buy clothes because I'm not exactly sure if I should buy one size bigger just in case it shrinks. But if it doesn't shrink, then I end up like a fool... LIKE A FOOL!How much does each type of fabric shrink after you put it in the wash?
Okay Phoebe (from Friends, she said that ';like a fool'; thing). Anyway, Rayon shrinks a lot! Cotton shrinks most of the time and Polyester doesn't shrink much at all.How much does each type of fabric shrink after you put it in the wash?
Always take your jeans out of dryer after 30 minutes. Air dry to prevent shrinkage. Thirty minutes of drying is enough to soften jeans and eliminate creases. That way you can buy jeans that fits perfectly.
JEANS ARE USUALLY PRE SHRUNK COTTON HOLDS AND OTHER FAB SHRINKS WINTER CLOTHING HANG TO DRY OR LIE FLAT
Really read the care insrtuctions, well. This combo of materials is likely to shrink, and, therefore, shouild be washed in cool water. **See if the manufacturer has info stating that garment is ';pre-shrunk.'; Good luck!
Buy your cloths from trusted retailer or brand name. I only encounter shrink clothing from cheap manufacturer which reminds me not to purchase from them again.
