Is it better to use paper towels (uses paper), or fabric cloths (uses water and energy to wash)?

I was thinking about how people always say to use fabric cloths/towels because it doesn't waste paper, but doesn't it use a lot of water and energy to wash those towels? So which is more efficient? Is it better to use paper towels (uses paper), or fabric cloths (uses water and energy to wash)?
I've debated this too and come up with the fact that it is cheaper and better for the environment to use cloth. I used to buy tons of paper towels and used them very frequently. Now I use cloth and I save money because I'm not wasting it on something that is going to be thrown away anyway. Not to mention that it will take up a little room in a landfill and add to garbage. It won't take as much water because just throw the fabric cloths in with the rest of the laundry, like when you wash your towels, and you have to wash and dry stuff anyway, so why not just use cloth because in the long run it's much cheaper. Add up how much you spend on paper towels in a year and then you'll see you can save some money and use that money to spend on something else you really need.Is it better to use paper towels (uses paper), or fabric cloths (uses water and energy to wash)?
Not really ,no. Because fabric cloths absorb lots of water, clean more and are reusable. Papertowels are truly a waste for washing dishes as you have to use a new one several times a day. You can keep a fabric cloth for weeks! And months!
Use fabric cloths and wash like they used to when washing machines weren't invented (by hand) and hang to dry...all your using is water and your own hard work
Fabric cloths are better, although you must use paper towels to dry your hands if preparing food.
fabric clothes are better unless you burn the paper towels after use so they dont go into a land fill
Depend on area self ideas etc
