Fabric painted shirts can look as good if not better than shop bought as long as you plan well, take your time and follow the manufacturers instructions. I suggest you do trial pieces on the same sort of material as the shirt 1st though.

Hope this helps.IS fabric paint suitable for making shirts?will it spread or fade when you wash the shirt?
It will work, but no it will not look professional. It will still look home-made. If you want a professional looking shirt you will need to have it screen printed.

If you need more information on screen printing email me. I took screen printing classes in college. GOOD LUCK!
no......i have one shirt dat i made myself
Just be sure to follow the instruction for setting the paint, some paints need to be heat set, some paints don't. I know many artists who paint t-shirts and other clothing and their pieces last for a good long time. If you want your lettering to be as professional as possible, you might want to use a stencil to lightly trace the letters onto the shirt with pencil first and then fill them in. For a picture, draw it on paper, then poke little holes in the paper along the outline and use a light pencil, dots of the paint colour you are using, or one of those fade away tailor's markers in order to get the best and most professional results. Good luck!
