Can i wash vans with a little fabric softener?

No. It is not a detergent. Fabric softener is actually oils and perfumes, it has nothing to do with clean. Can i wash vans with a little fabric softener?
Well, yes you can.

But why in the world would you want to do that?

Your car contains no fabric, unless you're talking about the interior. Can i wash vans with a little fabric softener?
I have 2 pairs of Vans and I wash them with Tide laundry detergent. I soak them in water for 20 minutes and scrub them with a scrubbing brush.

No, it will leave an oily residue on your shoes I will tell you what other cleaner you can use to clean your shoes

Clean shoes.

Simply wipe the shoes with a baby wipe.

Or you can simply wash in Baby shampoo add about quarter of a cup to the washer and wash on delicate warm wash only, you can also add about quarter cup of White Vinegar to the machine this will increase the power of the baby shampoo and make the shoes whiter/brighter, do not add any fabric softner as vinegar will soften and is alot less expensive than fabric softner Good Luck !
